The Crosslake Knights of Columbus are an active fraternal service organization. Over the course of a year we make several monetary donations to local charitable organizations. We also have a lot of fun!
The Wood Guys cut and split firewood, and bundle it for sale as campfire wood. They also sell and deliver cords and half cords. This is our council’s main money-making activity.
Last March we sold hot dogs and brats at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and gave away coffee and hot chocolate. We donated all of the proceeds to the Crosslake Food Shelf.
The Knights support our youth. We gave $500 to help pay for a bus to Valleyfair. We are strong supporters of vocations and our seminarians. We make annual donations to each of the seminarians, and also gave $1000 to the Diocese of Duluth Seminarian Appeal.
The Knights host Coffee Sunday once a month, serving scones on occasion, but we are noted for our delicious donuts – always popular.
If you are not a Knight, why not join us? Even if you can help out with only one event during the year, consider becoming a Knight. What better way to act on your faith? You will be joining a great group of men. Contact any Knight or call the church office to be put in touch. We would love to welcome you!
